Still a little sore but very minor. The bruising is very small! No biggie. I’m already used the numbness too – so all is well!!
2 weeks after treatment:
So, here I am two weeks out and feeling good! Over the past two weeks, I definitely felt better in tighter clothes as Shantee said I might. Clothing that was loose tends to ‘tickle’ the areas treated. There was a fair amount of itching the first few days, but that ebbed quickly.
During week two, I had some very localized tingling/itching/warm sensation in each of my outer thighs. Now to be honest, I had been sitting quite a bit for work, and also had some road travel. So, I couldn’t tell what was irritating my thighs so…I stood up more frequently and went to exercise! (Who doesn’t need extra incentive to exercise!) Applying an ice pack was fabulous and very soothing!
I found after that, as long as I mixed moving around with sitting for long periods (& adding ice packs sometimes) – that I was able to keep discomfort in check. I got used to the numbness quickly, and have seen a decrease in swelling over the past two weeks. My skin is still a little too tender to say, have a massage, but I’m not uncomfortable. It’s just a tender ‘sensation’ and not painful. I was very pleasantly surprised that I didn’t bruise any more than I did! There were bruises, but much smaller and not as dark as I thought they would be. I’ve been wearing shorts and a bathing suit just fine! It just looked like I bumped into something, and therefore not a big deal at all! Overall, I feel good and I’m drinking my water!
3 weeks after treatment:
I think I can start to see a bit of a difference in my back – and its only been 3 weeks!
4 weeks after treatment:
Feeling good! I can see and feel the healing! The bruises have gone away, and the tenderness is almost nil. There is numbness still there, but it has really decreased – I don’t even notice it anymore. There is very little itching – sort of sporadic little itches here and there. Don’t need ice packs anymore. Drinking my water! Also, I’m wearing whatever I want now! I’ve been traveling, but I think I see a little hint of a change. I know it’s way too early to really tell, but I swear my back feels slightly different. That makes me wonder what I’ll see in my tummy area in a few weeks! Keeping my expectations in check though – I’m cautiously optimistic since I know everyone responds differently. Any change will be exciting, and I’m glad I have had this attitude from the start. So far, everything is going the way that Shantee and Dr. Villanova said it would. They’ve been great when I check in – I always feel I’m a priority when they speak with me. I am so excited and curious to see what the final weeks bring!
