Lynnea Villanova – M.D.
Dr. Villanova has been a board-certified Family Physician for over 20 years, practiced acupuncture for 18 and Chinese Herbal Medicine for 7. She is double boarded in Family Medicine and Medical Acupuncture. She served as the Physician Advisor to the North Carolina Acupuncture Licensing Board until 1/2017. She has worked and taught in residency programs, provided Pediatric, Adult Medicine, and Obstetrical clinical services, worked with underserved communities, and practiced Sports Medicine/ Pain Management. She has lectured at UNC Medical School’s elective alternative medicine curriculum on Ayurveda. In 2016, Dr. Villanova returned to the New York metro after several years living and practicing in North Carolina.
Having understood the healing mechanisms of minimal trauma in acupuncture, Dr. Villanova became intrigued by the emerging use of controlled injury in aesthetic medicine. She has been immersed in non-invasive aesthetic medicine for the past 2 years, and is committed to providing superior results and superb client care at Amavi Medspa.
Stephanie Cotter – Certified Physician Assistant
Stephanie Cotter is a Certified Physician Assistant who has been working in the field of cosmetics for several years. She graduated from Dowling College on Long Island with a degree in Psychology, and then went on to get her masters as a Physician Assistant at Nova Southeastern in Florida, finishing in the top of her class. After graduating school in Florida, she immediately came back to work and live in New York with her family and friends.
Stephanie has always known she wanted to work in this field. She enjoys hands-on work, while using her creative side to provide the best possible treatments and outcomes for all of her patients. She has been working with products such as Botox, Juvederm, Coolsculpt, PDO threads and much more for years. She is passionate about her work, and loves doing her job every day.
While not at work, Stephanie enjoys traveling & seeing the world, relaxing on the beach and spending time with family and friends. She is an avid soccer player, who competed at the collegiate level. She coaches and trains a local girls soccer team, and even plays in leagues around Long Island as much as she can.
Kim Bastible – RPA-C
Kim is a Registered & Certified Physician Assistant. A graduate of SUNY Downstate Medical School and Arizona School of Health Sciences, Kim holds two masters degrees: one in Forensic Science and another as an Advanced Physician Assistant. She has amassed over 20 years of comprehensive medical and surgical experience.
Kim also attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Her undergraduate course work as a Fine Art major provides the foundation and skills to support her masterful aesthetic vision.
Kim trained at the internationally recognized Beau Institute of Permanent & Corrective Cosmetics, where she received comprehensive education in the art of medical, corrective and cosmetic migropigmentation. Her extensive education in this field, combined with her knowledge of medical aesthetics and artistic perspectives, provide patients with not only the highest quality medical services, but with exceptionally pleasing aesthetic results.
Jeffrey Sherwood – M.D.
Is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine. He did his internship and residency at North Shore University Hospital. He is a board certified surgeon who practiced on Long Island. After a long career in surgery, he devoted his time exclusively to Aesthetic Medicine. He was one of the first physicians to use fillers when they became FDA approved. He spent 4 years as the medical director of another Med-Spa on Long Island. He now joins the staff of Amavi Med Spa. Besides his professional activities Dr. Sherwood has a beautiful 10 year old Maltese, does Pilates regularly, is an excellent tennis player and runs an Antiques store in the Hampton’s…exhausting
Brandi Reyes – Certified Medical Assistant
Brandi graduated from Longwood High school with an advanced regent Diploma, and received her medical assistant degree at Hunter Business School in May 2017. Brandi has always known she wanted to be in the medical field because she likes taking care of people. She treats each patient as she would her own family: with kindness and respect. Always advancing her education, Brandi is currently choosing among registered nursing programs.
Very interested in photography, Brandi spends her time taking pictures with her Polaroid camera, running trails with her dog Jake, and spending time with her family and friends. As a break from studying, she’ll often unwind by watching her favorite cooking shows on the Food Network.
